Stained Concrete Tiles
From the very beginning there was a an overwhelming desire to make tiles. Wall, floor, backsplash, or whatever application it seemed natural to experiment with tiles. We are absolute lovers of ceramic tiles. If it were up to us the world would be covered in them. These concrete tiles are made with the idea in mind to accent and enhance ceramic tiles rather than compete with ceramics. The other idea is to add an alternative for situations where the correct tile just cannot be found.
It is very difficult sometimes, even with all the ceramics available to make a backsplash look exactly right for individual tastes. ESPECIALLY WITH COLOR COMBINATIONS. Some people find themselves compromising their vision of an expensive remodel because of limitations in availability. Another problem is specialty pieces sometimes just don't complete the look and often the correct shape is found, but not the right color.

The picture to the left is a good example of our tile sets. These tiles are cast to fit into a rectangle or square dimensional area, but individual puzzle pieces are shaped in curved or radius dimensions. Tiles can be used as a central focal point, border, or to complete an entire field.
Three
Dimensional
Tiles

The fish tile above is a good example of combining concrete tiles with ceramic tiles. This tile was cast with standard dimensions making it compatible with many wall tiles. We also have vertical tiles of the same dimension which can be included in combinations with ceramic tiles.

Apples to Oranges is the way to think about ceramic tiles vs. concrete tiles. Each has it's own specific properties. The application is basically the same, but it would be a question of looks. Picking tiles can be a daunting task and often the problem is too many choices. Ultimately your picking something that will be around for awhile so make sure you are happy.

The tiles to the left are a traditional set with the added advantage of color choices and blends. So often it's difficult to find a floor color, countertop color, and backsplash color that all work together without sacrificing design ideas or personal tastes. It's usually two out of three that work and a compromise on the third just to make it work. Our tiles offer an alternative to make other choices work together.

There is no one favorite tile design. Every time we ask for opinions on what the best tile is, there are very diverse reactions. We could not be more pleased. Many people liking many different designs feels good and feels right. Making beautiful things is the main goal and we like them all.
